Nb that the section on American Language will not be necessary since that lecture did not take place.

WHO HAS TO TAKE THE TEST:

Whether you take the test depends upon your attendance through Jun 14, 2018

14-13: Congratulations, you have a 5 and don't have to take the test! In fact, you will not be allowed to take the test so don't bother showing up! I mean it! I've got a knife here, don't make me use it!
  
12:  You have a 4.5 and you don't have to take the test. If you do choose to take the test you need a result of 50%  to maintain your grade and 70% to raise your grade to a 5.

  
11-10: You have a 4 and you don't have to take the test. If you do choose to take the test you need a result of 50% to maintain your grade and 70% to raise your grade to a 4.5 and 90 % to raise it to a 5.

  
9 or less: You have to take the test. Grading will be determined after I've graded the test. If you are dissatisfied with your grade you may do essays to raise it (contact me by email).

If you're not sure about your attendance than contact me by email.

FORMAT:

The test is between 60 to 70 short answer or fill in the blank questions.

You may use your notes (or the notes from class (see below) but in paper form only. No digital devices are allowed.

Here is a sort of syllabus for the course which outlines the basic policies.

Here are the provisional notes for all the lectures this semester. A final definitive version will be available no less than 30 days before the final day of class and the Test for Credit.

Exam essay questions 2017-18

Here are the essay questions for the exam (for those wanting or needing an exam).

Remember to ask me how many to do and I might make you pick from certain categories.

Also, remember you'll need to discuss your essays with me during my office hours. Bring 2 (two) copies of your essays.

The deadline is when you need the grade to be entered into USOS....
